1. My research focuses on phonetics and phonology of understudied languages. Approaching new data with linguistic theories allows me to study these languages in the field as well as in the laboratory. I also work on the phonology and phonetics in language acquisition, both in children and in adults. My main research languages are as follows: Xitsonga (South Africa), Burmese (Myanmar), Yi and Zhuang (China), Basaa (Cameroon) and Korean
