■ Profile
Craig D. Howard is Associate Professor at International Christian University in Mitaka, Tokyo, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Instructional Design. Prior to returning to Japan, Craig was a founding editor of the International Journal of Designs for Learning and established a Learning, Design, and Technology PhD Program at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Craig has designed over 50 undergraduate and graduate courses, and three graduate programs in instructional technology, for various universities and other clients, including Microsoft and Cambridge University Press.

Craig studies how we create and disseminate design knowledge through design cases and the discourse of design. He earned a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington, and an MA in applied linguistics and second language teaching from Teachers College Columbia University. Craig is an advocate for bilingual education and lectures in both English and Japanese in Tokyo. He keeps a website with links to his publications and a blog at craigdennishoward.com.Link
