For this purpose, the historical roots of this class of methods were reviewed, and two empirical demonstrations are provided. In the demonstration, the possibility of exploring hyper-generalized feelings was opened up by repeatedly producing the feelings while transforming the modality step by step. In addition, it was suggested that the modality of music could be used as the next possibility. The inter-modal pre-constructive methods are ways of triggering and increasing the difficulty of expression of the original feelings. The difficulty of switching the modality is a new synthesis while keeping attention to the feeling once felt. | |

In this study, Auto-TEM was conducted longitudinally based on the interview data of the PAC analysis to analyze the lives of a Japanese language teacher who aspires to be a good Japanese language teacher. As a result, a right-ascending TEM with almost no ups and downs emerged. This presentation discussed the potential of individuation by viewing this as a process of repeated transduction and individuation, and the possibility that longitudinal Auto-TEM with the ZOF itself will invite collaborators to participate in the chain of transduction and individuation that draws a TEM diagram with a steady rising right angle. | |

In order to incorporate "individuation" and "transduction" into the Trajectory Equifinality Approach (TEA), I have been pursuing the possibility of TEA development through research presentations using individuation and transduction. In his book, "The Philosophy of Individualization," Simondon describes the principle of the emergence of individualization by considering the operation of individualization as primary, rather than recognizing individualization from the reality of the individual. In this project, the three members will present the results of their research conducted in different fields and analyzed by adopting the theories of individuation and development in TEA, as well as the theories they used in their research. After explaining the ethical considerations of the research to a cooperating researcher who had a future vision of "becoming a good Japanese language teacher" and obtaining the person's consent, the presenters conducted a survey with the aim of clarifying the path that would lead to that future vision. Three rounds of individual attitude analysis were conducted approximately every other year, each time with the aim of achieving TEM saturation, and the survey as a whole was also conducted with the aim of achieving TEM saturation.
In this presentation, we described how EFPs at each time of the survey differed in their orientation toward ZOF through the turning of the axis of TEM (turning of EFP), and analyze the effects of the turning points using Valsiner's Triple Gegenstand, which models the three movements of progression, confrontation, and reflection. By doing that, the possibility of reaching TEM saturation in longitudinal research was mentioned. | |

University Japanese language education departments need to adapt to the rapid changes in the development of national policies, the promotion of internationalization of universities, the rapid increase and diversification of learners, and ICT technology advancement. The same is true for the organization in this presentation, which is in its fifth year of implementing DE to enable decision-making utilizing evaluative thinking in a rapidly changing and complex environment. DE not only leads the organization to development but also facilitates the members' organizational learning. We found instructors and staff considered that DE deepens their understanding of the program and makes the necessary decisions properly. They also believe that participation in DE strengthens their professional skills as Japanese language teachers. | |

Japan is also experiencing school closures and a rapid transition to remote learning as other regions. However, Japanese academia has not argued yet how stakeholders (e.g., faculty, students, parents, organizations accepting apprenticeship practical, high schools, companies, and the Japanese government) have raised attention to these challenges and issues.
Having the background as mentioned above, the presenters conducted an exploratory study on how Japanese universities are experiencing the challenges in COVID-19 crises. The method is as follows: Firstly, the presenters, who are university faculty members, recorded what they felt, observed, interviewed people around them, and what they found in medias such as newspapers and social media.
Then, we analyzed the data by thematic analysis. We want to present an overview of our findings and point out the significance of analyzing this issue from a cultural-psychological perspective. | |

(2019) pointed out the importance of using Evaluative Thinking (ET) in school management. ET is necessary for student development and curriculum review and building and developing relationships with the local community embodying or validating municipal educational master plans. It is also essential for better school management, such as the reform of teachers' working environment.
On the other hand, COVID-19 has forced schools to respond quickly and systematically to new issues and expose potential problems in schools and move them to deal with them. School management based on ET is necessary to make appropriate decisions in such emergencies and verify the appropriateness and validity of those decisions.
However, it has not yet been sufficiently discussed how and under what circumstances ET is essential.
Therefore, this session discusses it from several perspectives and examines how to present evaluation results to facilitate the use of ET. | |

This longitudinal research for the interaction between the reading text and Japanese learners from Oceania using PAC-analysis points out : (1) the influence of the stereotypical information toward the Japanese learner is greater than our expectation, (2) the Japanese learner is not able to read the stereotypical text only by the fact of study abroad, and the key of the change of the her/his reading of the text is the novelty and the deepness of her/his contact to the Japanese people and Japanese society during her/his stay in Japan. | |

This research is a series of investigations that attempt to assess such thinking based on four sets of data : (a) the oral comments of 4 novice teachers and 5 experienced teachers recorded when they did a "think aloud" while watching a video of a Japanese language lesson, (b) written reports that these same 9 teachers produced immediately after the video session, (c) interview datum taken from the 9 teachers individually by Personal Attitude Construct (PAC) analysis method, and (d) the same teachers' responses to a multiple choice questionnaire on teacher's beliefs. This research made clear how PAC analysis should be conducted when researchers apply it to this type of investigation, as well as how questionnaire should be made and used. | |

A series of investigationson teachers' beliefs was conducted in three countries (Thai, Korea and China) by PAC (Personal Attitude Construct) analysis as the method of qualitative research,and by questionnaires as quantitative research. Major findings at this moment are that(1) “ accuracy-oriented ” and “ learner-oriented ” are the nucleus of Thai Japanese-language teachers’ beliefs, and (2)Thai Japanese-language teachers have strong awareness of concerning their learners deeply, giving the first priority to them, and taking learners’ perspective into account. | |
