Details | Higher levels of entrepreneurship are directly associated with increases in GDP, societal wealth, and quality of life (Morris 2001), yet Japan consistently ranks among the lowest in nascent entrepreneurial activity. Entrepreneur Development Program, or "EDP" is a pilot workshop for introducing students to the world and work of entrepreneurship in Gold Coast Australia. Students have a better understanding about the behaviors and attitudes needed to thrive in setting up businesses. As part of their application, students will submit their own business or non-profit organization idea. Students will spend the next 10 days refining their ideas through lecture, activities and mentorship and lectures from professionals. Activities will culminate in a practice pitching event before a panel of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. |
