Details | This projects analyzes the growing field of cyber diplomacy. Specifically the state and non-state response to cyber (dis)informa tion warfare, cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure, cybercrime, to data security and data privacy. Cyber diplomacy is a rela tively new field of diplomatic practice. This project aims at a better understanding of these responses (1) to understand when a nd why they succeed or fail, and (2) to develop better learning and training tools. This project contributes to both the practic al and conceptual aspects of cyber diplomacy by analyzing (1) how cyber diplomacy is implemented at the state, non-state, region al and global levels; (2) the significant challenges and core diplomatic instruments; and (3) where does cyber diplomacy require new tools and mechanisms? |
