Details This study investigates how translation circulates as an intercultural flow, particularly around Jaan an dthe Pacific Rim, exploring the linguistic an dcultural presence of Japanese language and culture on the Canadian west coast and the morphing of Japanese cultural productions in Canada and elsewhere. In involves discussions with translators and translation studies scholars in Japan, Canada, the US, Australia, and the UK, and a creative film collaboration with New York based new media artist, Jeanne Hilary.
