Details | This study will discuss how Maus as a translational comics text straddles English in multiple forms as well as the languages and spaces of Vladek’s past, and the unfinished business of the Holocaust in the present. It will also show how the material medium of comics gives Maus the visual capacity to foreground the temporal complexity of the story in the structural juxtaposition of moments in time that allows different pasts and presents to co-exist in order to register change. |
