|Details||This was a special group translation project involving 150 students who worked to translate Yada Eriko's manga Soranoito into English. Yada san was invited to answer questions and provide insights into her manga, and about 20 different translations were launched and completed, showing the possibilities of translation and the use of manga in translation to tell local stories that resonate in more than one place. In this case it is the connection between the specificity of a life affected by the industrial pollution in Yokkaichi and the shared responsibility for the environmental damage caused by the prioritizing of economic over planetary well-being.|
