Professor Giorgio Shani is Chair of the Department of Politics and International Studies and Director of the Rotary Peace Center at ICU. He was educated at the University of London and was a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Centre of International Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2016 to 2017. He is author of Sikh Nationalism and Identity in a Global Age (Routledge, 2008) and Religion, Identity and Human Security (Routledge, 2014), and co-editor of Protecting Human Security in a Post- 9/11 World (Palgrave 2007) and Rethinking Peace(Rowman and Littlefield International, 2019). From 2014 to 2018, he served as President of the Asia-Pacific region of the International Studies Association. His research profile and major articles can be found here:
