２０１４年９月より国際基督教大学に就任。２００９年１２月から２０１４年１月までに香港中文大学日本研究学科助教授に就任した。２００８年１２月早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究科国際関係博士取得。２００７年１０月から２００９年１１月までアジア太平洋研究科のリサーチ・アソシエイトを経て、２００９年より現職。

２００９年からの資金研究プロジェクト：『２０１２年領土問題直後の日中関係：日本のビジネスが中国における貿易と投資戦略の変更調査』、『東アジアにおける非伝統的安全保障の協調』『日本における人間安全保障のパラダイム：東北アジアにおける国際協力の挑戦及び可能性調査』『香港及び東京都における地方自治体の移民政策とその役割』
関心のある研究テーマ：東北アジアの国際関係、日中関係、アジアの地域統合及び地域主義、非伝統的安全保障に関するテーマ。

1. 国際基督教大学准教授。1971年カナダ生まれ。2004年早稲田大学大学院アジア太平洋研究科修士課程（国際関係）修了、2009年同博士課程修了。2007年早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究科のリサーチ・アソシエイト、2009年香港中文大学日本研究学科助教授に就任、2014年より現職。マクドナルド・ロリエ研究所のシニアフェロー、カナダ国際問題研究所（CGAI）のフェロー、日本国際問題研究所（JIIA）の客員研究員, シニアフェロー、東アジアセキュリティセンター　（EASC）ボンド大学、オーストラリア。横須賀アジア太平洋研究評議会（YCAPS）の政策研究ディレクター、在日カナダ商工会議所（CCCJ）の理事。また、2017～2020年までアジア太平洋財団のフェローを務めた。最近の研究プロジェクトに「2012年の領土問題をきっかけにした日中関係：中国における日本企業の貿易と投資戦略の変化の調査」など。現在、「インド太平洋における大国間競争に対するミドルパワーアプローチ」の研究に取り組んでいる。
